External Work Placement

External Work Placement means on-the-job training that students do under university supervision. Its goal is to allow students to apply and supplement the knowledge they have acquired during their academic training, so that students can learn skills that will prepare them for their professional activity, make them more employable, and promote their entrepreneurial abilities.

Since the nature of External Work Placement is educational, it will not, in any case, give rise to the obligations derived form a contractual work relationship, nor will its content serve to replace the duties of a regular employee.

Depending on its characteristics, external work placement may be:

  • Curricular: it is an academic activity, fully integrated in the curriculum as a compulsory or optional course.
  • Extracurricular: it is done voluntarily and it is not part of the curriculum.
